“Above All”
God’s omnipotent nature allows Him to do anything He desires, even if in our view it’s deemed “impossible.” In the time Jesus was here on Earth he did numerous different miracles, that without God’s intervention, would be unfeasible for any human. Jesus, following God the Father’s will, knew the perfect timing to do these miracles for those around Him. He was shepherding them into opportunity. The opportunity to believe in the impossible. The opportunity to see God’s sovereignty. The opportunity to step out in faith, trusting that God’s word is more powerful and more real than our perception of our surroundings.
The single fact that God has the ability to alter our reality in ways we can’t even come close to comprehending, places us in a beautiful position of faith for the “impossible.” The greater our faith, the greater the glory to God. (Mark 6:45-52)
“Absurdity to Seriousness”
Starting out, I was just doing this drawing for fun, but a deeper meaning came to the surface when I was about half way through. The process I used to get the reference photos for this drawing was hilarious, and definitely below suboptimal, but the final product is very intense and serious, but the steps I took to get there looked crazy.
In comparison, there are times in our life that may look absurd to others, but its actually leading to something meaningful. As Christians, God tends to lead us out of our comfort zones in order for us to grow as we partner with Him. Sometimes He will call and instruct us to do something that may be embarrassing or odd, but the situation is dire.

“God Always Prevails”
Although this isn’t clearly about God, its symbolically biblical. This drawing is for an art show that has the theme “Good Vs. Evil.” The skull represents death, evil, sin, darkness, pain, trials, and difficulties. While the flowers represent God’s ability to bring about growth, meaning, goodness, beauty, and restoration through that which is dark, painful, and evil.
The biggest example of this is Jesus dying to save humanity. His death was horrific and unjust, but 3 days later he rose (didn’t even mean to make that pun, ha), which brought restoration and new meaning to our ability to be in relationship with God.
On a smaller scale, we go through plenty of trials in this life and God always has a purpose for them. He always has a plan and a good reason for it, but when the flowers start to grow from the darkness we find ourselves in, it all starts to make sense, and God’s glory is revealed.
